Yes, facility rentals are permitted through Civic Center Facilities Leasing. To inquire about pool rental, log on to www.swccd.edu/administration-
The facility has been under the direction and managed by Southwestern College Community District since January 1, 2021. JAWS opened to staff and students on March 1, 2022 and to the community on April 4, 2022.
JAWS is open to students who are at least 17 years old and enrolled at SWC. Faculty (full-time and adjunct), SWC employees/staff and members of the public are also welcome to our fitness facility.

Yes. Aquatics Only memberships are available. Please see Membership page.
Currently, we are not open on the weekends. But we will be providing weekend hours as we continue to build out our staff and programming.
No. Parking is not included in membership. Parking permits are required on campus and virtual parking permits are available at https://swc.thepermitstore.com/ for $10 a month. This will provide community members unlimited parking in the orange striped stalls of LOT J outside of our facility. Students, staff and faculty are not eligible for permits or permitted to park in these spaces.
Yes, unless there is a fee noted (i.e. for a bootcamp, specialized series, etc.) on the group fitness schedule. Otherwise, all group fitness classes are free but please remember to register first via your Wellyx account.
Members can receive one guest pass a month. Each guest pass is valid for 3 consecutive days. Please see our Front Desk to collect your passes each month.
Due to COVID-19 policies, we have not resumed towel service at this time. Please bring your own towels.
We are currently building out the Wellness portion of our programming. Stay tuned for updates as we intend to focus on mental well-being as well as physical health for our members.
Yes. We have an aquatics program with group lessons for all ages starting at age 3 to adulthood. We also have private swimming lessons. Please review the Aquatics page.
Yes. The swim team is affiliated with Team Unify and called Sol Swim. For tryouts or questions, please email solswimswc@gmail.com or check out their site at Sol Swim Team – About (teamunify.com).
Beginning on Jan. 3, 2023 the use of face masks indoors and outdoors will be a personal and optional decision for JAWS members and staff.
Members will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination for classes and services.
The SWCCD administration still highly recommends that students and community members receive the vaccine and new booster for their personal health protection.
The college will work with local health providers to promote access to the vaccine, the bivalent booster and flu shots.

The pricing of swimming lessons varies depending on the how many weeks in the session, holidays and pool availability.
Yes. We have locker rentals for daily use. If you are interested, please come to the Front Desk and fill out a rental agreement. You may bring your own lock or we have some for sale.
